Found an old photo bucket account I forgot I had. It had most of the pics of my ex 55 Pontiac Chieftain. I bought the car with plans to change a few things but was forced to sell it in order to raise some funds to buy my first house. I drove the hell out of it and had a great time with her. As my 56 Buick sits in the garage while the engine and trans get rebuilt, I miss a car that I can just hop in and drive. Until now I only had a few pics due to computer changes over the years. Anyone else have a car they wish they still had? <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/XhMzdCV2vml1fJgNI0mEstMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-NOwBzvyQwV8/T8ANhJXQqlI/AAAAAAAADx4/6-Zccc6ZsFc/s640/DSCF0714.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Kustoms</td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/nMTHtU3k9yHtAqz-LjcEFNMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2bVHOLS7mCc/T8ANgoUM3fI/AAAAAAAADxo/wXm4H28xBWY/s640/DSCF0707.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Kustoms</td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/eWqKLlhXPilEjE3540AP4NMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-m3oOiDwzHwU/T8ANf5a1CqI/AAAAAAAADxA/fQzKzE4uinQ/s400/2.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Kustoms</td></tr></table> <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/i9lpKGqb4NzxwJa3t3a-49MTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-5Z9CcM4_bkc/T8ANhKWHr1I/AAAAAAAADx8/41FR7Exk5u4/s640/DSCF0729.jpg" height="480" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From Kustoms</td></tr></table>
O/T No haters....- of all the cars that I've had through the years. '65 Mustang fastback, early Nova's, "A's and the like I always go back to "Synthia" '67 VDUB. I'm not sure what it was about her. Life got in the way
Wish I would have never sold this 55. I miss this car more than any that I've ever had or built.FALFA
Not to rub salt in the ol' wound, but THAT is perhaps THE nicest Poncho I have ever seen. I can understand why you miss it. My most missed car was my first. An OT '66 Buick Special 2-door hardtop, gloss black roof, silver metallic body, black interior. Miss it every day. I blew the engine in it when I was an E-1 in the military, and since I lived off-base I couldn't dig up the $$$ to get it running. A Master Chief that lived in the same apartment complex as I was retiring, and wanted to buy it to take back to IL with him. I knew it would probably go to rot before I could fix it myself, and decided it deserved a better life driving down the streets than living in the carport under my apartment, so I sold it. That was in 1995. I wish I knew where it was now...

yup, kick myself in the butt weekly for selling my o/t 66 chevelle, 396/close ratio 4 spd, 3:73 posi, car went like stink.......miss it.........more fun than sex [and lasted longer too, hahahaha........]
My first car, well truck, was a 52' Chevy with a stock mechanical injected 283 out of an early vette. Being sixteen years old at the time I did some stupid shit with that poor old truck.....wish I still had it. Broke the timing chain, from turning it way too many rpm's. To lazy to fix it at the time and traded it for an early 70's big block Impala. I miss that old truck. OT for this forum, but I had a 1970 Superbird in my late teens. My best friend's dad owned a local Mopar dealership, I ended up with a few of my buddies hand me downs. The Bird was one of those, not a hemi car, but would be worth a mint today. I kick myself for selling that one.
I may be sorry to see Rusty the Ranchwagon go. But had an offer I couldn't refuse. Time to move on, looking at replacements this weekend. ~sololobo~
Hated to get rid of my O/T '68 GTO. It was my first hot car and I had it when I met my wife. I looked stock but had a warmed up Ram Air III motor out of a '70 Trans Am, Turbo 400 with a shift kit and a Chevelle 12 bolt with 3.73 gears. It surprised quite a few challengers that thought a "stock" GTO would be "easy pickins" at the stoplight grand prix. Like many of us, I'm sure, I sold it when we bought our house because we were really strapped for cash. I miss that doggone thing every day, and it's been gone for 20+ years!
hell yeah, every 55 chevy ive ever owned!! and my 49 coupe and my, ah i miss every car ive owned. lol so im done selling them. buying only from now on.but i may be willing to trade for another 55 210.body.
I sold this to buy my Sportster and wish i still had it today. Roadster's are as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike in UK weather but i did put a good amount of miles on it. Only a plastic tub and 4 banger but so much fun. Nailed it everywhere and really easy to get the back end hanging out. If nothing else i should have swapped over the pipes for some others i had at the time. Damn those pipes were sexy. I tried to buy it back and tracked it down. Wish i hadn't. The car had been stripped, frame and suspension painted white and a V8 half fitted. Last saw being sold as a project or parts. Very sad.
Nope...sold quite a few and will sell more...but regret never enters the picture even tho hours and hours and days, weeks and years have gone into the build, including enuff blood equity to make a blood bank blush...they are only cars...and they can be replaced with the next one. Besides that, the cash that comes from sale(s) smooths over any transition... R-
