So the skate deck is the sample of the base coat. And one lesson I base learned so far is strip the paint and then pull the glass.

My buddy (losthope) here on the hamb came over last night and helped me finish up the roof.
So it's completely stripped. And I am still hope to get some sealer and base on it this weekend.

 

You gonna paint it like that skate deck? That'll be cool if so!!

That is the base coat. It will have three other sizes and colors of flake, three styles of lace oriental blue candy and a silver leaf scallop.

 

Hells yeah cant wait!

I got the flake from some one on the Los boulevardos site like seven years ago. I have never seen another.

Diggin it !! I've got some Last Supper lace in my stash I've been saving.

 

first i would like to say thanks for the positive response!and now the update.

second round of primer on.and first round of sanding is done.




the sanding went way smoother this time i am for sure learning as i go!

then i picked these up today.

dirty as hell. a little cleaning.

man the tires are tiny!not sure how i feel about them.

the tire behind it is the starwire wheels and tires just for a comparison.

 

it's looking great so far, dude. '63's are my favorite early '60's Galaxies, but your six-four is super clean. great luck finding all of that side trim; it's usually hard as hell to get it all. waiting to see more!

 

yea i wanted a 63 but could not pass this one up.and i agree i scored on the trim!

1964, Motor Trends Car of the Year, FORD! They won with the whole line up that year, something I have never seen since.

64 Galaxie just a great looking car, looking forward to the continuation....
