Pic Request: Painted Finned Valve Covers.

Just like the title says, lets see some pics of painted finned valve covers. I just scored a set and need some inspiration.

 

Here's mine after I painted them red. The inserts were black.


I scruffed up the black inserts, taped off the large polished sections and then rattle canned them. Then, I used acetone on a small rag and wiped off the red paint.

 

I have a pair that are completely painted, I would have never thought that would look good, but they do.

Whats the trick as far as having polished sides and fin tops?

Awsum55...that motor is beautifull! (But I'd paint or chrome the exhaust manifolds!)
