If there's any illustration style I dig, it's a good cutaway. Here's one I found on the Grant piston rings site of the Grant Piston Rings special (a.k.a. the Stu Hilborn streamliner). Got some of your own? Let's see 'em!
Tom West is the artist who made a career out of doing the most amazing full-car cutaways ever. Do a search on his name- I'm sure you'll see some impressive works of true art. nice guy too! Scotch~!
Rex Burnett certainly did some nice cutaways. I remember his cutaway of the 999 streamliner built by Bob Herda. Does anyone know where to find prints of Rex's work? I've searched on Google and come up with a zero.
I stumbled upon the attached Nash cutaway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_drawing), then H.A.M.B.-searched "cutaway" and found this old thread. I really like the ones that Farmer posted. I can't believe this thread hasn't gotten much action.

I'll second this site. I came across it several months ago and have spent way more time than I should just looking at the incredible art that is shown. Some of the British illustrators, Tony Mathews for one, as well as a Japanese guy, Shin Yoshikawa, are just over-the-top with their pen and ink skills. Do yourself a favor and have a peek at this site. But, be prepared to spend hours looking...
