This is copy of the documentation (poor quality, but, what can one expect after such a long time):

Thank you MrFire. That 1904 Loco is very unusual, i've never seen a Loco steamer with a steering wheel. Thank you for posting the great photos.

Not related to the guy in post #1871:) This is my Grandfather behind the wheel of a 1912 REGAL Underslung. He arrived in the USA from Sweden in 1907, and was a chauffeur all his life. Could someone run that plate number? I'd like to know who he worked for at that time, believe it was in Stamford, Ct.

Back in the late 1960's there was a flea market vendor that would show up with crates filled with glass plate photo negatives. Most were from the Locomobile factory. I should have bought more, I should have bought $15,000 Bugatti GP cars too, but that is another story.

It is and it's a big one.....the bore is about the size of the width of his head which must be 6"-7". It appears to be about the size of most 66 HP engines which are usually about 825 CI. I do know that it is not a Pierce or Thomas so possibly it is a truck or other type of engine.

Is his double breasted suit the fashion of the time of is he military???

Still routine transport for many in the early 20th-Century South!
Only 2-wheel-drive, BUT TWO horns for safety!!! No bull, guys.

Horse, parked beside the upstart! Though the use of
horses as draft animals drastically declined after auto-
mobile technology improved. BUT, there are more
horses in the U.S. now than at any time in history.
Now, the hay-burners' roles are mainly show and
pleasure riding. (Last 2 pix, THANKS to Royal Feltner,
    Amesbury, MA.)
