OK, get your fire extinguisher ready to put out the modem fire. This year's Indy Goodguys event was great. Almost NO RAIN!!!! What's funny is that it only rained on our two awards ceremonies. The Hot Rod of The Year competition was HUGE. 45 cars went on the Brickyard rack cruise, the 100+ mile reliability run and did the 1/8th mile run. Then they all showed on Saturday. Most of the rides on the HROTY tour were traditional-style, so quit yer whining and get your shit to Indy next year! Being a judge for it SUCKED! It was hard to whittle the field down to five, let alone one winner. In the end it was Bill Steele’s Hemi powered 1930 Model A Ford Coupe from Oakldale, Pennsylvania that took the crown. The rest of the weekend was great too, drags, vendors, and the swap was killer (as usual)! TONS more in the September Goodguys Gazette! VIDEOS added on page two!!
