bumping this 2018 thread just for shits and giggles.

32nd year for the West Coast Nationals, I have only missed one:) ..... of course I was a small child for the first few  . pretty sure the cut off date was 1948 for the first few years, then 54, then 57, somehow it has snuck up to 1972 and now they let Volkswagens in.. oh well, if the cut of was still 1948 they probably would have cancelled the show by now..

here's some stuff I liked. took about 170 pictures where I used to take 500 or more. don't know if I am just slowing down in my old age or if the show has changed that much.

    GOOD TIMES!! :)

Thanks for sharing. That Green Merc in the batch in post 5 flat spins my wheels.
A couple of years ago I bought a couple of tickets on that gold/copper and white Cad coupe when it was raffled off with the hope if I won it I could fly down and drive it to Pismo beach for Trog. That obviously didn't happen but the gent that won it drives it everywhere/
I see one car still had the requisite "I drove it to Bonneville" salt on the front that seems to show up at Pleasanton. A few years ago I left Bonneville at about 6 on Thursday after the races and made it to Pleasanton about 5 the next afternoon.
Great photos let us see the rest of the Hamb friendly ones you took.

that was the only "salted" car I noticed though I am sure there is more.

last bunch. I only took a few that were not "HAMB friendly". next year I will have to start training for this event in June so I can walk for for longer without getting plumb wore out.

this 32 was really cool. dig the insides. wonder if it is an old build?? had a generator for the "alternator vs Generator" thread the other day.

oh look at that. "Mack of Sacramento did the black naugahyde upholstery". I have that book. time to go through and read all my books again and refresh my brain. that's a great car. that's the type of car I go to the Goodguys Western Nationals to see.
