Yeah, sorry, no midgets this time. Just my kid with tattooed Santa.

Anyway, this was the first Fall Del Mar Nationals. Working over Thanksgiving weekend wasn't the coolest thing ever, but seeing everyone come out and have a great time in the sun made it WAY better.

Sorry about the crappy indoor shots.

Here's some of what I saw...

These are the ORIGINAL Snake and Mongoose rigs. Now owned and restored by Don Prudhomme.

Equipped with an Ed Pink-built V8-60. The owner/builder was celebrating his 92nd BIRTHDAY on that Sunday. Cool car, even cooler guy!!

  11. KIRK! It will be interesting to see if you guys can grow this event. We were disappointed when GG gave up on Orange County and hoped this would make up for it. Del Mar is a great location, but Thanksgiving Day weekend was probably a bit tough. Not to mention hard for vendors to justify, especially since I'm sure set up for them had to be Wednesday or Thursday (Turkey Day). I hope this one can continue, or another weekend is found as we need at least two So Cal events a year from GG.

Now I know why I don't need to take my camera to GG events - Kirk! will take far better photos and tons of them. How the hell do you manage to take so many great shots that don't even appear in the Gazette?

    Great stuff....

Cool to see Cole Cutler's '50 is still around....I borrowed this pic from the other GGDM coverage (thanks). Needs better wheels!

    Least, I think it's CC's car.
