the Niles district of Fremont is a cool place. most of the city has been paved over, and any place with an old house has been torn down and 20 houses stuck together have taken thier place. Most of Niles has survived the ravages of time which makes the main street a good place for a car show. here's a few pics of some cars I thought were cool. starting with a view of "downtown" look at the crazy head on this 1923 Studebaker.
this thing was crazy... 60's Riviera fenders, with 57 Lincoln body panels on a mid 80's Jag convertible chassis. 1959 datsun HOT ROD with a later 2.0 and 5 speed.
Mike (49ratfink) - I can't believe you went to "Hot August Niles" ... and didn't even bother to call me! Nice pics! ... of some very cool cars! I actually kinda dig that Lincoln/Riveria/Jag 'vert ... maybe loose the swoopy mirrors ... and paint it shiny black. Thanks for sharing!
went to Turlock in the A.M. ..didn't think I was going to Niles. Turlock Swap was pretty empty so I came back earlier than expected.
