So I'm reading my new Hot Rod Deluxe (January 2011)- There is a Rickman shot on page 45 from the Oakland Roadster Show in 1959. In the corner is "James Logues 54 Ford" the reportedly first on hydraulics....I'm not familiar with the car, and am interested in what the rest looks like. It appears to have a caddy bumper, and part of a cad hood as well. Maybe Merc headlight hoods and 57 ford hubcaps that have been modified. Im gonna head over to Riksters page in a bit to see if he has anything, and a search comes up empty.. Anyone know the car? Anyone have shots of it?

I know the car. I have seen it in one of my "Little Pages" but I don't think I scanned it. I'll have to look later tonight but I remember the caption reading that the car could be "lowered in seconds". It was displayed as some would call it, "layed out" in todays jargon.

Its featured in a old issue of Custom Cars, little version, Me and my brother were just lookinmg at it this morning laughing at the sunk down cowl method of chopping. Looks like a big Barbie car to me. What a coincidence us looking at that magazine this morning.:D

What does "Look for it in survivor row" mean? Was it at the Long Beach Motorama earlier this year?

  12. Wow, the sunken windshield ain't to cool to me, but I bet it was tits at the time. Otherwise that car is spot on. I would love to see more pics of it.

I LOVE the three triangle pieces staggered below the tail lights.

Pretty much the same stuff that Rik posted, just out of the February '59 issue. I didn't resize them so they may be massive.
