This question may have been asked before, but what is the type of car club jackets worn by the Pharaohs in American Graffiti? Does anyone know of a source to buy them? Just the jacket itself, not with the CC colors...

Why would you wear a phony club jacket?

 

He asked about the jacket style, NOT the Car Club "colors".
So what is phony about that?

 

The used to call them "Pedro" jackets.

Thanks all, for this info, now I have a starting point. Checking on the Greenspans link, they only show one jacket in their catalog, and the hotrodjacket.com just shows the lettermans style. What I'm looking for has no elastic waist band, but a straight cut. BUT with a lettermans style collar. I'm still searching

Always called the Car Coats... but clickers seems to be what they are called now.

Greenspans has them. Just give them a call.
