Your roadster was cool, but this Phaeton blows it away. I can't wait to see it finished.

Here's one a buddy built out of a "29 sedan. We drove it from Tucson to Bonneville and back. Little hail, lots of bugs! A "Bucket List" thing. He says he's selling it to build something else.

I like the rear tire holder makes the rear tank kinda not as noticeable.

  7. Hi Am working on my 27 T touring, had a squeek from the left waterpump {flathead} so took out the rad and swapped another used pump in. If I could send photos I would,I have 6 I took today. I need help! Am using the latest windows program # 7.
Anyway am getting it ready for Duece day in Victoria BC Canada. July 16-18. Should be about 500 32 Fords there! It happens every 3 years and NEVER hits the glossy mags? Incredable show. Fortunatly they let another 400 guys like me in who have non 32's
Anyone going? Reason I started this is I wanted to show some photos of a Phaeton and will when I figure out how to attach photos!

29 bones..George Goebel (real name) has all the pics. All I got was the bugs! He's 5' 9" and I'm 6'-0". :) We liked Bonnie so much we're thinking of building a roadster around my 360 sprint motor. Imagine two 70 year old putz on the flats! Kind of like the worlds fastest Indian. By the way, we hit the hail just south of Abq. N. Mex. You can't imagine how hard and cold that stuff is at 70mph. We even made the local news that night. When we left Abq. the next morning, folks would drive by and give us a thumbs up. Our 15 seconds of fame!

Brian..Need to tell you your tub is gonna be neat! Nice clean work. As Tom Medley would say, "that's a real Uncle Daniel". Stick a cooler, some spare parts/tools and take a "bucket list" trip. Great memories. Bill

    Brian...
Great score, the trunk! Please leave the 'sidemounts', put a pair of Firestone 4.75X16 Cokers on 'em, and flaunt a raked Six-Wheeler!
Former L.A. Roadsters member Rick Stees did it with a '30 Tudor tub, became 'famous' with the "Eat Mo' Possum" plaques in the '70s. Car was finished in metallic root beer...I would have done green/black fenders, but the car was a grabber.
The right wheels in the fenderwells 'enhance the stance'. My '33 sedan had a right-hand fenderwell spare, I had a white naugahyde cover made, low rake made the car look 25 feet long!
I'm doing a '27 tub, a $300 T Touring on my choice of frames: '32 Ford (which my '27 roadster is sitting on) or my newly aquired '29 Chevy rails. (prettier than Essex, 5" cross section)
Mark Morton found his '27 Tub at the famous "Moomjean's", 3 miles from where I found mine!
    Right here in Atwater.

Jeez, Jer'! Nice stance! Wishbones kind of 'fatten it up' on the profile, looks nice and husky.
Great choice on tire sizes, wheelbase length, and radiator cap...
Also, you profile nice in there, not too high! The ideal tub. Guys dream about this.

I really think that any side mount spare takes away from the elegance of the fender shape and the flow of the car. It's the only thing I don't like about the car.
