Thanks for the Photos! I Love the Brass and nickel era cars. Looks like a few big and impressive pre 1925 cars. I like the Pope Hartford and the 2 Pierce that were pictured.

That 1941 Ford pickup behind the gal with the Jockers jacket, is the Joe Barnett truck
featured in Hot Rod magazine back in the day. I recognize it by the chevy rear fenders,
and the side cowl vent. Looks like it's had some years of neglect, but still around...

That looks like a great event. Full mix and match of vintage vehicles on display and it looks very low key. I only saw one stinking show board in all of the photos.
From my trips to Cali anything below 70 calls for a jacket for the SoCal brigade.

Jay was driving the green Packard. My wife was a little late on taking the below photo of him driving off.

The cool black 29 Bentley was brought by Bruce Meyer.

There is always a great mix of cars at this event. After a couple hours in the parking lot in the morning the 1932 and older stock motor cars go for a drive around town on a route they are given just before they leave.

Looks like a great show. A friend of mine took his T out, I was busy doing Honey Do things at home. Taking the hot rod out tomorrow though! Re the weather/temps, those pics must've been early in the day, the sun came out around 11 or so and it was a beautiful day, no jackets needed.

If this was Mr. Eastwood's event what was he driving, or was he home working on the RAJO race car?:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:.

  16. True that, but the car in the pic is a gas White. Steamers didn't have a hand crank or a motometer. Maybe I should have been more clear in my original post and said, "That White" ;)

As the flyer states, the event is for stock cars; but lot's of hot rods show up. They're not supposed to take part in the cruise part of the event, but as my buddy who is a member of the Horseless Carriage Club says, it's public roads, they can't tell anyone they can't drive on them.

  23. Your buddy is right of course but I think trying to use a technicality to insert a car that was outside of what their club is dedicated to would be the ultimate in poor taste. Just my opinion, of course. The HCCA put on the event, I am just happy they let us in the parking lot (which is a great show in itself).

I hope the guy with my old 25 RPU shows up next year. I'd like to see what he has done with it

Great looking Buick, really like the color combination. Here is a mid 1950's snap shot of the one James Melton had just down the road before the collection moved to Florida. Bob

Yup, '52 F-1 bed, '52 Chevy truck rear fenders and Caddy powered. The truck was originally built by Jack Calori.
The bed and fenders just look so right to me. I did the same thing on my nail head powered '40 truck.
