Event Coverage Pennelville NY flats timing runs

Wondering if anyone has any information on Pennelville N.Y. timing runs(Pre drag strip racing). I have a friend who ran his custom 49 Chevy there in 1954. Apparently it was basically a clay farmer's field, the NHRA came out and timed your runs. Here's the only article I could find on it.

I had some louvers punched by a guy Dick Lippert in Webster N.Y. he had pictures of a car he ran at that track and I think the pictures you posted are of his car. He is still active in the car scene, he has a roadster he built and has traveled all over the country in it. A real interesting guy.

Yes this is Dick's car. I have more pictures of it but not at Pennelville. Dick is a great guy, still punching louvers, over 50yrs now.
