There was a whole lot of shaking going on with the rear end bodywork, maybe there's a connection?
But that's what shakedown runs are for..
Thank you for all of your efforts to bring us these great photos.
The cars all look so authentic, it is a pleasure to see them look so good.
Some good pics in here, the event was amazing really enjoyed it cant wait till next year.
I made it by skin of my teeth finished the car Thursday night then off to pendine friday morning . First time I drove it was into tech. Passed. My cars the black T with alloy bonnet and sides car number 658 class v4/fr
Great pictures of what appears to be a fantastic event, thanks to all who shared.
Thanks Reefer, like I said, lot of Dean's old RPU at 1:45 mark.
Well done mate your car looked great. I was in a similar situation to you time wise. Im struggling to get back into reality now though! Aaron. (529)
Fantastic photos and videos.
Thanks for posting!
Some from me and a couple of videos
Burnouts don't really work at Pendine....
Just joking, for those who've never been there, these are actually made by a tractor to mark out the public parking areas on the beach between tides.
1st run watch for the spray, 2nd run listen to that noise!
'Finished' my car on Thursday night and left early Friday. Had a blast (and a small fire!...). My first time driving there after years watching.
That looks and sounds fantastic....
282doorUK did you bring your Chevy?
No because I didn't even try to enter it, as I'm not sure if it's ready for Pendine yet. I have it booked in for other events this summer for shake downs . I'll update my thread if anything remotely encouraging happens!
Hey, thanks for asking after me!
great pics, Ian, Nice meeting you Bernard.
I just posted up my Pendine trip video. This is part 1:
Likewise meeting you Mart, you have a real gift for making perfect "Going for a day out with a mate" videos, looking forward to part two!
Excellent video Mart..great times too glad it all worked out.
Great event, makes you feel alive. I was chuffed to get my class win and fastest N/A flathead overall. I’m the same guy that someone posted a video my buddy done at goodwood last year.
The same guy (@dudford) that done that video is compiling footage from this years Pendine and will be putting it on YouTube soon.
The green car is nice (insert winking smiley face)
15psi oil pressure, is that normal for a flathead at speed?
On my roadster? 40 psi cold idle 20psi hot idle. Runs 40-50 psi at speed with 0.0025 rod and 0.0025-30 main clearances using 0/30 Mobil 1.
Just thought it odd that the guy driving in vid said he was running at 15psi which he seemed content with how it was running. I assume that was hot oil.
Some random shots from the Pendine weekend.
A damp 300 miles cross country journey. Plenty of stops for fuel, food and the hell of it so it took 13 hours.
Sixteen cylinders all in a row.
This is the view from the timing tent. Course was still a tad damp.
Flag girl changeover - my daughter joined me for the weekend.
And caught some rays.
My son, the coding guru, also joined in to set up the trap and run the timing software.
Similar but different.
Better with fenders!
@hotrodfil I sure like your coupe on the A chassis.... the fenders make it look 'right', like Ford could have made it!
