Has this been done before ? I was going through a bunch of scrap the other day and found this I tought I was a radiator shell at first but it's part of a vintage gas pump?! Has anyone seen this done as a radiator shell before before? Any photos you can share? This one is a little bent but there is a bunch of them out there. I know it's a little wide.

  3. Check the prices on those old gas pumps and parts with collectors before you hack it up. I bet you can sell every one you can find.

Good idea! If its too wide narrowing is no biggie.
This is how innovation happens, folks see new uses for odd stuff.

  6. It could also make a neat trunk/toolbox if it's wide.
How many of those do you have out there?

  7. Sounds like the gas pump graveyard where one of my pumps came from... How close is it to Fife? The guy that I bought my '56 Tolkeim(sp?) from hauled it to FL with him in the back seat of a Corvair Conv.

I actually have 2 of those i saved to make a shell for my kids 37 Plymouth truck. The metal is super thin so be carefull welding. As far as value for restoration, not alot, use it if you can.
