Looking great. Let us know how you get on with the new stupid Warner gauges, or more to the point how long they last , well that was my luck after two replacement speedometers I gave up and put up with a third one and where it’s only the odometer now that failed, not the speedo as well.
How did Pop like the truck and did you take him for a ride?
Man , I know, I’ve heard so much bad shit about these gages (especially the speedo) , and I’m actually a gps guy , but I have a 12 year old coupe that I have no clue to how many miles is on it. So I decided to run a speedometer on this build.
Tailgate looks like a 100 year old tailgate that a unprofessional hammer and dolly guy spent a day and a half whooping on. Chains, hooks, Cobra skin covers were a Fredericksburgs Tx swapmeet score nearly a year ago.
I'd rather see a beat up original tailgate over a new aftermarket any day.
Great work, Peck!!! Especially liked all the pics related to brackets and small things that hold the big stuff together!
From the body first pictured to a nice solid unit with everything fitted properly, esp. the radiator, shell, and hood. (this area usually falls into a 'trap'. Too many Deuce shells ride too high on '28/'29s)
Bravo. Love the windshield posts. Hey...You look good in there.
Finally screwed down for the last time.
Thank you sir.
Cut up a junk door to fix another junk door, I have real $$ in both junk doors.
Welded up all the snap hole and mirror holes on windshield frame today.
Wow, first magazine coverage. Lone Star Street Rod magazine , the Street Light.
Nice and cool in Texas this morning. Got both RPU’s out.
Made it past that 100 mile mark this morning.
Cleaned up windshield frame, & stanchions and painted Saturday morning.
. Took pattern to glass shop this afternoon. Clear glass.
Really enjoying this build. How did the upholstry work out ? Want to see how you did the seat.
Glass installed, with no problems.
Good stuff. My favorite part is the front spreader bar.
Lots of neat touches and details.
Haven’t started yet, been too hot outside. But it will get done .
I scored this 36 Ford license plate bracket from Bassfire like 10 years ago. Just decided to use it today
Test drive this afternoon.
I am so impressed. That truck is the real deal. Great work. Joel
Afternoon jam on seat covers , so wifey will be happy on a little road trip tomorrow.
