Thanks. Paisley patterns are pretty polarizing, seems you either love it or hate it....

initial test fit looks kind of tall? and still over thinking the lower shock mount.... so I started working on headlight stand (using original cut offs and bending)

i have too many hours in these f'ing shock mounts and I still ain't happy..... but they're getting closer.

1st time with headlights mounted (I do like how these are looking). need to get off lift to have a better look at everything.......
I bent the steering arm a little bit to match drag link angle with the track bar, I don't believe i'll have any bump steer issues. fyi.....strap is holding suspension at right height, and the shock are Monroe 5850's with the cover thing removed.

    no, think rear suspension....

I figure a small block chevy is "mouse" and big chevy is "rat", so a 265 is a little mouse (squirrel)...

Looks good as far as steering issues go if you have any you may want to look into something called scrub radius. Can't see in your pictures but looks like could be a problem.

your 100% right, it is terrible....
the 1/2" adapter plates and those 1936 wheels combine to push the tire way out. I've been thinking about a custom adaptor plate to move wheels inward but no lightning bolt yet.
If its un-drivable I can also get a regular offset pair of wheels.

    340; closer :)

all good guesses, but it's the mount for the rear upper control arm, the 3 possible positions will allow a little adjustment.

Yes. After I posted and reread it that's what I meant. They look great!! The more I see you make on the lathe I may have to get a little more serious about finding one.

getting some of the 265 assembled.... slowly.... got busy with life again.

Had 2 bent/rusty harmonic balancer/pulleys to choose from. Found another great use for a little shop lathe, used to straighten out bends/dings and ensured straight.

  27. Looking great !! I just wish I had a tenth of your talent and patience that you have creating this great peace of work hot rod. Congrats on doing a bang up job and I'm sure you are going to have a real winner when you get her done. Enjoy watching your build....

thanks for compliment, I hope spring can bring some good progress.
I looked up Irwin, PA... kinda far from Jalopy Showdown. are you planning on a coming by chance? would like to see your Tudor.

few updates pics; harmonics balancer pitting and seal groove was alittle worse than pic shows. installed a repair sleeve and decided to clear with engine paint.... also got the "Pea Green" paint back out of the locker............
