Hello, I'm new to the board, and need help identifying an old paxton and finding its value for a friend, it spins free , but the housing bolts were loose , so I pulled it apart no evidence of any interference, but it needs a good cleaning and gaskets, looks like the ID tag has been removed, and I can't find any stamped markings.
    Thanks in advance, Mike

Looks a lot like a VR 57 from the F code 57 Ford's. Paxton/McCullogh sold those for other cars in later years and it's probably one of those. Might find something here, but this site is pretty inactive. I think they made a 58 series also, but I'm only familiar with the Ford version.

Only picture I've got of the spare VR in storage.

The base looks odd to me, like it is for a different application, maybe industrial.
I don’t recall ever seeing mounting bosses or a sight glass like that on a Paxton.

Good point fordors. They made a lot of air moving equipment, including submarines IIRC.

It did seam to have an black oily film on the compressor wheel, any idea if it has any value?

  7. That is definitely an industrial blower. Paxton still makes them. You should ask them what it is and then list it on ebay. Here is a link to the Paxton website:
