Part identification: Who made this SBC Aluminum Oil Pan?

Looking for information on this aluminum oil pan. I believe it's made by Ansen, is that correct. Any idea on it's age?

It has the right shape for a Mercruiser pan but I've only found steel pans in a quick search.

The mods will slap the snot out of me if i post the craigslist link but there is one for sale that is painted in the Craigslist Jersey Shore Boats for sale section.

It is a nos one and it isn't cheap. They showed the parts number though.


Mercruiser 5.0L & 5.7L cast aluminum oil pan. This is a new oil pan & gasket, sat on a parts room shelf. Oil pan Mercruiser part # 13840A 1, listed price is $644.25.

asking price with gasket is 350.

 

Kinda looks like a big bulky Ford pan.

 

Thanks for the replies. Although it appears very similar, and may have been modeled after a marine pan, I do not believe it was off a marine engine. The marine pans below are close, but no cigar.

The came from Mercruiser painted black like the one Penetrator posted.

 

I had one just like the black one ,and was told it was a mercruiser .
