Okay, I realize this is wildly unorthodox, but isn't that the point? I was curious about that little car that the short little "Napoleon" character is driving in the Garmin commerical. "What the heck was it?," I asked myself. A bit of Googling later and I had learned that it was probably a Panhard PL17. "Neat," says I, "I wonder what info and images I can find of these cars." I'll let you research and read up on the specs of the things yourself (other than to point out that they had some cool little finned aluminum brake drums), but while I was reading up on these cars I stumbled across this image of a customized PL17 ... Oy gevalt! Dagmars, skirts, frenched headlights, chopped top, wide whites, ... and ... Um ... it's powered by an 850 cc air-cooled boxer twin?! More info here for those who can read French. http://www.forum-auto.com/automobiles-mythiques-exception/section5/sujet290758-140.htm Oh ... and check this out! It's a PL17 gasser! LOL! (I think this has some other kind of engine!)
