pancaking a deck lid.

    i got a 53 olds and just looking for some ideas on easiest cut lines to pancake the trunk.

    Wedge cutting IS NOT pancaking. The term "pancaking" is being missused nowadays.

    Real pancaking means to remove some of the outer flare (of a hood usually), and reduce the diameter. Instead of a large bell-shaped hood, you now have the outer ring of the bell welded to the fenders and just the top "pancake" opens up. Requires building a whole new lip for the hood opening.
