paint that looks like bare metal

Anyone know the Colour code on the Mustang?

 

Looks like Fathom Green Metallic...
Used on 1969 Camaros... Had a Z/28 with that color and white stripes...

 

Easy to do. Silver base, light scotch pad, then clear. This was done to save cost over chrome. Looks like sorta like brushed stainless. Not a traditional paint effect, but looks good on this truck.

For years we have used an industrial paint called "Steel-it". It is tougher than nails, has a nice semi-gloss finish and is easily touched up. Actually has stainless steel in the paint. Comes in water base, enamel, and epoxy. Just google Steel-it paint and you will find it. Good stuff!

 

All of these sound like awesome ideas. If you've got the money you could paint it to look rusty... why do people do it? ... Cuz it's different, nothing wrong with that

 

My buddy used Shark skin on his 45 truck after they stripped all the paint off.
