Hot Rods Paint Stripping Question.

I want to strip the paint from some die cast (pot metal) trim pieces and wonder if there are strippers that I SHOULDN'T use. Is there anything too aggressive for pot metal? The paint is a modern tri-coat, I think.

Not that I'm aware of but then I don't remember having stripped crome pot metal.

 

Aircraft stripper should be fine, but I would not try lye based cleaners like oven cleaner.
