My 48 M truck is at the painters in pieces, Makes me excited and and nervous at the same time! I was in a local paint store looking at samples and they said something that confused me. First I am thinking of painting it a flat maroon and then doing flat black in the bed, running boards and a visor - I will also get some pin stripping in cream and black on the headlight buckets, front of the hood and similar colors on the lettering in the tail gate. My painter is going to do primer sealer, paint and then flat clear. The person at the paint shop said I should find paint with the most pearl/flake because the flat will look - flatter the more there is. I do not get it? The flake will not show through or shine because of the flat clear right? So why does it matter how much flake or pearl is in the paint?? Thanks in advance!!
