Hey Packard guys! I have some questions about the differences between the 5 main and 9 main 327s.. I picked up a 9 main to build for my '53 Clipper and maybe hop up a little. It has one bad piston and a few bent valves. Are the pistons for the same as in the 5 main motor?

    Thanks in advance!!

There was a difference in the compression ratio between the 5 main and 9 main 327's even though the bore and stroke were the same. I don't know if this difference was in the head or the piston though. Rusty is spot on, check with the Packard Forum
