over stock cam

    all mine shake the engine. I have a buddy that says " it's not tuned right, it has a miss". we always go on and on about this. i of lately said it's old motor mounts, trying to end it. does yours sit still & idle?

    If it runs good above an idle, it may be a long duration cam. However you might want to check over the overall condition of things, just to rule out other options. Compression test, and stick a vacuum gague on the intake, and see where that leads you. I have a 268 degree cam in my 350 and if I slow the idle down real low it does shudder a bit. But that's hardly a wild grind. If you walk behind it when it's idleing, do you smell gasoline coming from your exhaust? If that is the case things are blowing by somewhere.
