Event Coverage Our First Viva Show.Thank You Axle!

First off I have to Thank Axle and Celeste for all their hard work and inviting my wife and I to have the 34 in the Hot Rod Corral this year at VLV#15.We had an excellent time although we had an incident involving a Clark County road crew and my 34 right before I put the 34 into the show on Thursday morning right down the street from the Orleans.The damage to the 34 was minimal, replaced the broken headlamp bulb and with a little touch up paint you could hardly tell.Although Clark County is picking up the bill for the repairs that will be needed to make it right again.My favorite part about being there was hanging out with lots of good people like, Dave Mock "daveydeuce" who had his flamed blown Caddy 40 Ford coupe in the corral as well.I enjoyed talking to Dave and his friend Terry about Hot Rods and Life, they are both real rodders from the 50's and 60's with lots of great stories.Thanks for all the Beer Dave! I also enjoyed hanging out with Axle up in his VIP firiggin Penthouse Suite at the Orleans Hotel and doing the radio interview with Del Villarreal from Motorbilly radio when we arrived on Wednesday afternoon. Johnnie Walker "Fivewindow Johnnie" and his wife were there too from Gunnison,Co. and we all got to have an awesome home cooked Mexican Dinner at a certain Las Vegas Detectives beautiful home that same evening.The wife and I were chauffeured from the Hotel and back in Tony's Bitchin 50 Ford Shoebox.Then there was the awesome ride in Axle's Gasser Willy's and the mini drag race against the red injected Olds Willys that was video taped..I want a copy! Got to see my favorite Instrumental band The Ventures perform for the first time.The Mob Museum,The Mob attraction at the Tropicana,Pawn Stars Pawn Shop,Excellent breakfast at the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino downtown, Axle and Celeste Dj'ing on Sunday Night, the Burlesque Show, lotsa overpriced PBR!
