Here are a couple pictures of my hot rod truck I built 15 years ago and just bought it back last summer. I built it from a $400 '29 Plymouth sedan. Its on a Model a chassis with 283 and glide trans, Whippet grill shell, 37 Dodge bed. Should be back on the road by summer!

    Whoh! Are these Oz only?

edit: I just looked it up, '35 was the last year for domestic Chevy tourings, must be rare as hens teeth. That is really a beautiful car.

I like this way more than is good for me!
As much as I like pre-war Fords, It's really refreshing to see what else can be built using other pre-war cars.

I want to see something really different.
How many times do you see someone answer that call with something different?
I know all the time right, but not often do you get to see something really different and really cool at the same time.
In my opinion, this car hits those two nails on the head with one swing.

It is funny that even when people find something different most tend to build them like they are Fords.

Only 217 GM (Fisher) bodied phaetons were produced in 1935 with 234 in 1934. GM Canada was a lot less. GM (Holden's) down here produced 647, not sure what body number Darryl's black phaeton is but it is steel, mine is body 507. The black car took 20yrs to build after he sold his T coupe.

I know of 2 x 1932 Landau phaetons in Sth America, both for sale and mostly complete.
Here are a couple of steel Fisher bodied phaetons. A lot of Ozzie Holden bodies made it over there circa 1980s and were snapped up. Not many here now! Nothing interchanges between Fisher and with Holden body apart from fenders and hood. Roof is totally different. IMG_0297.JPG 35 tub sceare B.jpg

^^I think I like these better than Ford Model 40 phaetons, and I like those a lot! Never seen a '34/'35 before this thread. Skylark wires and 1" WW's with Honduras maroon would be really sharp.
Thanks for adding that info Stumpy. Bet they aren't cheap, even as raw material...

What about this with a Blue flame and triples. Seriously I wouldn't ruin it, too rare. All hand made in alloy and a genuine and local 1932 Chevy Moonlight Speedster :D 32 Speedster 5.JPG 32 speedster 1.JPG 32 speedster 2.JPG 32 Speedster 3.JPG 32 Speedster 4.JPG I

My favorite. One sexy Chevy coupe! Pretty sure this one is out of Reno. Peckerheads maybe?

Pretty cool, but they must have used water based paint, looks like some of it washed off.
Or maybe that's where they painted it.
