I have the drawing if that counts. I will modify the chassis from the trailer I already have. Minor work/remove sideboards/lengthen floor a couple of feet. May start framing up the structure this fall.............

The local welding shop I buy my steel from has been rolling a bunch of square tubing lately for various things. Every time I go up there I want to have them roll me some bows for one of these little trailers from 1" square. Also, if you do build one, I think there is sort of a "magic" teardrop shape for max aero value.

A friends homebuilt teardrop. He built it with a dropped floor so you could stand up to get dressed.
Also put the beds crossways with slideout for your feet...

RDR, do you think your friend would be interested in talking to me about his design? I really like how he kept the tear drop shape while making a more senior friendly and comfortable design.

A teardrop is the best accessory that I ever added to my hot rod. Mine is 5' x 8'. Many miles and many smiles. This winter looks like it will need some TLC as some of the plywood is starting to come undone.

Gota ask, why in the hell are you that close to that tornado? I would have been hauling ass out of there.

Well pumpman, probably the same reason I got married, I knew it was dangerous, but at the same time, it was too beautiful to walk away from. :)

In actual fact, I did run from it when it first started and it was headed strait at me. When I shot the video, it had become very stable and was following a very straight North to South trajectory parallel to the road I was on. My car was still running and I figured if things got hairy I could outrun it.

OK b-bop, all I know is if it is going north I'm headed south. But it is cool to look at.

I guess you better make sure you are south of it when you start to run. :)
