Original 30 chev steering box

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Miss-B-Haven Speed Shoppe, Feb 12, 2009.

  1. Any of you out there built an early 30's chevy with the original steering box, and how did it work out? I have a really tight steering box from my 30 sedan, and was thinking of using it. My other thought was a corvair box reversed, but I am having a hard time justifying the cost, if my original can be used.

  3. Same, although i'm thinking of using my '28 Model A column and box. I'd like to know how good (or bad..) the originals are.

Okay newbie question here, my Model A box came from a AA chassis, how do you know if it is 2 tooth or 7 tooth? Disassemble? New to this.
