So I'm considering using the Mallory distributor for my newly rebuilt Chevy 235. I really don't want to but I don't think the stocker with Pertonix II can keep up with my built 235. Any opinions? Thanks in advance
Get a dizzy from Tom Langdons they are mini hei's for the 216-235 and run around $180.I have one works great and the best part is if you have any prob while on the road all the electronics are chevy s-10 so you can get parts any where. http://www.stoveboltengineco.com/acartpro/product.asp?productid=123
or do the s-10 swap, cheap, pretty easy, works good, and looks almost stock. How "built" is your 235?
Putting a Mallory in mine was the best thing I ever did! Ran great with it. Don't want to start shit with this comment, BUT my petronix crapped out on me in one year. Yes, some run them forever with no problems. But if you just rebuild your motor, put the money into a good dist. My thoughts.
Bubba's has the hot shit deal for these motors (and others). Just do a search here to find details and a bunch of testimonials form those who have used them. Roo
