I like the stance but I wouldn't do a heavy chop on a car that sits up high, 3" max.

I really like the stance. Nice to see a coupe not in the weeds. If you chop save the pieces!

  3. I wouldn't chop it, if it were me, it looks more old timy without it and besides everyone has a chopped one.

Your car took me back to my youth living in Paramount, Cali. in the 50's.
My neighbor had one allot like that one of yours.
Keep it like it is..... my vote!

Man this is awesome! A ton of knowledge and great perspective on this site. I love the way my Coupe now but I agree that a small chop 3" would help out the entire Stance/Appearance/Character of the coupe. These responses are helping me confirm all the pros and cons I had in my head.
As far as the Firewall, I would love to melt in an original . Would probably fit in there reversed with not to much of a hassle.
Are there reversed firewalls already produced?

It has a classic 50's look (and I am old enough to know). In fact I don't think I'd even chop it. A buddy who has a 4 inch chop in his wishes he hadn't done it because it's a bear to try to see out the rear window to back it up.

Thanks for the input and compliments on My A. You are absolutely right. The cowl is down a bit. The channel is lower in the front (width of the frame) and higher outback. Kinda of a wedged channel job if that makes any sense. Its purposely channeled for that forward lean/raked/"broken" look.....
    Some like it some dont.
I think after this weekend and a few beers I
will know for sure. Hopefully I can sleep well after I make the decision. lol.

Was not sure if it was 50's or more 60's. I am open to all opinions on the coupe just real curious what the H.A.M.B. Media thinks.

I like the stance and think it would look better with a chop.

From the shady lic it looks like a 30~31 .... If it is, just get an original firewall and install it BACKWARD's

Works fine and even looks like it coulda been the from the factory.

  18. I'd leave the stance and chop it.

I would open up a little bit to help you turn on the inner half fastball. You may want bring your hands down to shoulder height to give you better zone coverage (top to bottom) also....oh sh*t, I just realized you were talking about the stance of your car...

looks great! fix the firewall first, spend some money on some sort of multiple carb/blower setup, to fill up the engine bay, and then I say paint it and skip the chop.

I actually have 2 deuces on the small block ford 289 on there. Man would I love to add a third but I dont know of an intake that works for another 94 holley. Heard of a guy on here that makes an adaptor. I realize my engine is not the most trad engine out there. However, I can rely on my SB ford to get me to most anywhere without a problem. Even Work and Back most everyday! LOL
    Any ideas are welcome!

    Awesome! PhotoChop!
Looks Just how I envisioned it. Funny how we can look at 100's of other people's rides and "think" we can relate to our own but this Picture really made it a reality as far as the Chop is concerned.
    Thanks Darren M.
