^ That is pretty close to how my 41 sedan project is chopped.

This is one of the sweetest cars I have ever seen. When my 56 Century is done I will be looking for one of these.

When I saw this thread I got very excited! I think the 41 is one of the best looking cars ever. And if I could figure out how to post a picture I'd show everyone the one I'm currently building. Check it out on my page if you want to see it!

I guess "lets make something just as nice as we did the past two years".
    And I think they succeed!

  15. I figured that was you car Deron, before the face lift!

  16. A 41 coupe taildragger, hard-topped w/ WW & 50 Sombrero's.. Dream car! Prices have always reflected the 41 coupes popularity, around here. Be a fun car to build, even a lift off top version

  17. But do I make it look tempting?;):D

I will tell you here and now, that building what I `shopped there would probably be the metalworking equivalent of painting the Cistine Chapel ceiling, and would most likely require similar quantities of both patience and skill. :D

What are most of you using for windshield wipers? When I first got my Tudor on the road back in 1989 I bought an electric conversion as the stock vacuum motor didn't work. Well, the electric setup only barely worked for a while before eventually giving up altogether. Are there better kits out there now? Any recommendations? Are there wiper arms available with stronger springs?

I have a Newport Engineering kit in my cpe. But I rarely use them, I use RainX. I've been in some real torrential downpours and been fine

Really? Man, I tried RainX but it seemed like the air flow on a 41 didn't push the water up and off the windshield, it just circled around without clearing.

After screwing with a Vintique 12V motor for years(noisy, jerky, sucked) I finally bought a new vacuum motor and 12 Vac. pump on e-bay to run the vac. motor. Works like a dream.

The '41 Ford Convertible, coupe look best as customs. The sedan look best as hot rods. Here a photo of one I built in the mid '90's.

I totally agree with you Highlander. A 41 is one of the coolest fords ever made. Its not the most beautiful, its definitely not the most desirable. I can't say its underappreciated because they do have a good following. All I can say is that its one of the coolest. Nothing like a custom taildragging 41 businesscoupe.
