The North Africa WWII desert camo look is different and would work better with a full hood. Bob [IMG]

I like the hood on and no top. It is a smoother look, in my opinion. I wouldn't have fenders either.

If you do drive it in the rain, a hood top makes pretty good sense and looks great!

HOOD OFF!!....I had a 36 ford sedan years ago, and when cruising around town, the car always ran better, faster and attracted more looks from chicks than with the hood on. It might not have happened that way, but that's how I remember it.

  12. No Hood! No Fenders! A little rain won't hurt!

Okay, it's official, every permutation of options has been suggested.

No one has suggested a fiberglass hood, polished billet wheels, AC, or remote locks and start, thank goodness. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Always a comedian in the crowd. Hey, ct, have you ever entertained the idea of painting the frame to match the body ? That one-year-only frame deserves to be noticed. IMHO, '32's just appear better when one color is used. My 2 pesos, from texas.

cuzn has a good point about looking like a partially-stripped down restorod because of the color, original top+irons, and stock headlights. Also, steelies just scream hotrod.

  26. This is how it will stay! It looks just like a kid pulled off the fenders, hood etc. and made it a hot rod. Spring! 005.JPG
Thanks for all the ideas. I guess I knew all along what I wanted, but you guys do make it entertaining. ;)

Ahh, the Berkeley Effect. I coined this term after my experiences with the City of Berkeley, California.

Once a population group grows beyond a certain size, you will always find a group of people within who oppose what you want to do, no matter what it is.

The H.A.M.B. has grown past that size.

That said, the car looks great. I hope to see it at the Fall Out.

I will be there, all the way from California!

I feel that I can safely reply now that the decision has been made. I have followed your car since the 4 banger days.
Its a great car and you should be pleased with it.
As for 32's and what says hot rod I will say this is hard to beat:- jeraulds32.jpg
