At risk of being banned for life, Black listed, and getting hate messages in my inbox I thought since I've learned how to use the spell check and done my research and combined my past polls and tried too come up with every combination possible. I'd try too make up for my sins of the past by doing one LAST engine poll.

I ran out of choices for the Packard Strait 8, Miller, Offy And Other so if you have one of those please list it.

  3. I have several hot rods with different engines but only one vote. HRP

HRP is right Speed Gems that multiple votes allowed is a little misleading...Okay I get it now...pick change my vote pick another engine and your former vote stays in count towards previous choice engine totals. Speed Gems I may have picked (SB) Chev twice...Apologies

multiple votes are allowed. you can vote for more than one. But you can't vote for one more than once. I guess my 3 similar engines don't all count.

Right, I have 3 S.B.C's 1 Y Block and 1Flathead but I guess it doesn't account for the same engine in multiple cars.

  9. Back to the spelchque - it's "Straight". A Strait is a a narrow passage of water connecting two seas or two large areas of water.

Strait also means trouble or difficulty, like "I was in dire straits because I failed my spelling test."

Excuse me while I put on my flameproof racing suit.......

  16. Actually my current hot rod just lost a baby snail head and is empty but it will only have one engine in it so one vote does it for me. granted I currently have two options but I will probably go the way that I voted. :D

Oh did you want us all to send you a hate mail?

or not on drugs, as in he's straight now but last week he was fucked up like Hogan's goat. or going straight as in no longer a criminal (also not on drugs I suppose) o_O:eek::confused::D

What about Lincoln Y-Blocks??? Also, what is a Ford 358 series? I am assuming you meant 385 (Lima - 429 and 460 motors), in which case, what does the Ford (BB) cover? Or was 358 supposed to be 335 and cover the Cleveland motors?

Assume Idea and great poll though. It will be interesting to see the results.

Lincoln Y block would be in the M.E.L category. And yes 358 is meant to be 385. I had 335 on my list just forgot about it.

Now that's funny, correcting a typo with a typeo (or was that a misspelling?). At least spell check should detect those. What spell check doesn't fix are misuses.
In any event, I don't want to be the English language police, and it's all in good fun, I just sometimes think that guys into this hobby ought to know the particular words that the hobby uses, after all they do use those words a lot around here.

    Disk Breaks anyone?

Well I'm not really a Ford guy myself (That's why all the mistakes) but I assumed:rolleyes: that since M.E.L. stands for Mercury, Edsel, Lincoln that it belonged in the M.E.L category.

  28. LOL I am building my sedan so it can have fenders or not have fenders, so I guess it goes both ways. I don't but I guess it does.
