    Hi everyone,

I am trying to get my LSRU 2012 photo thread off to a start with a little more expediency than my previous threads. As per usual, these will not be straight out of the camera snap shots and in some cases will be highly modified in the computer to give the gorgeous cars in them the proper artistic impact. For those of you who hate this kind of thing, please leave your one star rating and move on. For the rest of you, enjoy - there are a lot of images coming.

Thanks as always for taking the time to check these out.

    Very nice.
It looks like you are working with ADR in some of them? It appears there is quite a lot of wind in the trees - does that cause problems with assembly?

Dan...my enjoyment of hot rods is certainly enhanced by your great photographs. Puzzles me why anyone would have a problem with your posts. Thanks!!

    Thanks hasty and 18n57!

In answer to your question, hasty - the majority of these so far are HDR images - ususally of 3 exposures. It was quite windy particularly on Saturday, but both kinds of HDR software that I use (Photomatix and Oloneo) do a pretty good job of combining the multiple images and eliminating the blur if you do it right. Sometimes I like to blur things in the background deliberately to make it look more interesting.

Puzzles me too 18n57, but it could be any number of reasons - they don't like things that are altered, they are other photographers that are jealous, others who somewhere along the line I pissed off and didn't realize it and the list could go on and on. I do this because I enjoy it and obviously a lot of others do to.
