I'm glad to hear Ed Pink is going strong. It's also great for the hobby that he was a judge at Amelia Island.
3 Dog Garage is a great place. We've had a couple HAMB get togethers there, Lots of cool cars there and great staff! Bill
Ed Pink was a huge help with the restoration on his 36. and 3 dog garage is always a great shop to work with.
Jive-Bomber, Can you please expand a bit on a sentence in your article please? "Ed himself rebuilding the amazing Flathead motor" I believe the engine was built by Go Cat Speed Shop in Denver CO. Possibly, are you referring to something else, like the original flathead in EP's 36?
Here is the link to the restoration of the Ed Pink 36 coupe. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/ed-pinks-1936-5-window-coupe.1005707/#post-11348406 The motor that is in the car now was built by Eric Brown of Go Cat Speedshop in Denver. Ed Pink is working on building the flathead that will eventually go in the car, due to time constraints he wasn't able to get it done in time. Eric Brown stepped up and was able to get us a motor built in short notice.
Is the color Honduras maroon? I am really impressed. I'd really consider painting my '53 with it. Was this a color that was available in '53?
glad to see our rods getting print, they deserve it. Also many old timers still around, we need them.
