It was a pleasure to meet HAMB brothers for the first time and hang with the ones that I had before.
Looking forward to seeing each and every one of you again.
This is a top drawer event and I didn't see anyone that didn't have a smile on their face...except for poor old Silas when his shoulder dislocated.
The banger powered Cabby did her job and is ready to go again
You boys be good now you hear.....and thanks for the company

Thank you........I appreciate the work it took to take all the pictures and update/upload regularly......at least it seems like a lot of work to an old guy like me who can barely send and receive a text message !! LOVED all the architecture photos........all those small towns sure were a part of the fabric of our country over the years.

Thanks for the ride-along. I just drove that road last week twice! I always enjoy the trip and the view. Usually, it's 412 all the way into Taos or maybe Sante Fe for us. Seems to be less truck traffic? Maybe 25 up to Colorado once in awhile.
Here's a painting I did while passing thru Gloss mountains one time. Hope it's not to off topic.

  23. Helluva trip! Thanks for all the pictures. Those old buildings are kind of a time warp... makes you wonder what that area looked like when all those towns were young and viable.....

And, there's A WHOLE LOT of no traffic. There may not be hills like you're accustomed to but, these are rolling plains. Before civilization came to this part of the country, when the buffalo moved through in their feeding migrations, herds of tens of thousands could be lost to sight. One moment they were there, the next, they had all disappeared into a depression.

Rare old cars...you burn up the highway with yours routinely. Glad you came along and look forward to a ride along with you

Surely Jeff....look forward to the next time we can get together....stay safe

Thanks, it works out well to take a break and post photos...just is frustrating when the upload speeds are slow. The old buildings intrigue me for sure. There certainly are differences regionally glad to have you along for the ride...stay safe and enjoy

Nice painting, you captured the essence of what my minds eye has for the geography of the area once you leave the plains. Yes, except for the local grain and bull haulers, the interstate truck traffic seems to be non existent.. I suspect it is the GPS routing now days...I will take the secondary highways every time
    Travel safe

  29. That's not quite the way I remember it. LOL
Apparently Larry didn't get anything that he actually ordered, other than the frozen coconut cream pie, and when our server left her shift to drive Larry back to the hotel.
