I have always had a strange fascination for shop trucks. maybe because they are cool as can be but still ready to work.
That old wrecker reminds me of a faded red and white 57 my dad had and used in our little yard we had in about 1980 or so.
I don't own a shop, but this is my '40 1/2 ton stake truck. It started life on a Dr's "hobby farm", southwest of St Louis. Still has remnants of one of the "city stickers" in the windshield. My aunt and uncle bought it in the '70s, and I took possession of it in 2012. It doesn't sit low, but it's got a heck of a rake. This shot is after doing some fence post replacement, in the back yard, and hauling off the cement chunks.
