Some rigs my brother showed me near his house,
the Model A with the big ass tires was for sale, I made the big mistake of not aquiring it soon enough!
the story was that it was used to deliver mail when it snowed??
The body was in good shape, very little rust since it sat way off the ground,

the coupe and truck and all the other stuff in the last picture are sitting outside behind some shacks rotting away just down the street from my dads house, the guy had tons of stuff but wouldn't sell any of it!

  4. What a great story. A word of advise...Document your build with lots of pictures and keep after it till it's done. It will be a great story for you and your family to share and enjoy. There's just great sense of connection and pride in taking a family owned "cast-off" and bringing it back to life...now, GET TO IT!!:)

If you go to my Photobucket account here

    http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v72/VonDad/

and look in the tin hunt folders you'll see some stuff.

Most is in or around Lebanon Mo and if you PM me I'll tell you where its located. Pretty easy to find. And most is for sale. the 36 dodge is one I think I'm gonna go and see if I can get. That's the one with Fraz holdin up the grill. Most of the other stuff is still around

    Best to you guys

Here is something that we've found from forests...

    Kaiser

She was in bad condition... But would be good as parts-car.

Here is German Ford (or least I think that it is Ford Rhein)

This one was in surprisingly good condition.

This one here is British Ford, something like Junior or Y or such, dont know... and its total crap!

This was how I found mine, the roof of the garage was about half gone.
I have'nt been working on it for awhile, set the hemi in it and started hooking up a 833 4spd to the engine.
    Someday it will get done!

I brought this back from SD last June. I found it while out hunting. A pretty complete and solid 37 slantback. Fenders are pretty rough but workable. Now a just need to find a hood.

Not a good pic. Anyway wish I knew the history on this car, looks like it was hit by a snow plow and knocked over the bank and left there. been there 30+ years, someone got the flat head maybe 10 years ago, mother nature is reclaiming the rest.

Good God! Is that an early army corp of engineers erosion control project? or maybe an early dike design for flood control?

Here's a few from my wanderings and trespasses over the last few months. Some are for sale, some I haven't checked on yet.

Here is my coupe the way we found it. Old mans backyard outside of town. The rear was torched off who knows when, but still had glass in it. I just found the rear quarters a few months ago, and surgery is about to begin.

To those askin questions about the VonDad tin hunt pics, I haven't picked up anything from either place. We got a 48 Frazer in the backyard now, and the city and insurance company won't let us put anything else back there until the Frazer is done.

Fraz needs to get busy, but money is tight, so we wait.
Anyway come see us in the Ozarks and get it yourself. We got an extra room with a slosher waterbed and I know we can find something to eat.

    Take care
