What a great day today. . . I haven't been to this show in 10 years, I'm glad Mike Bowling reminded me. . .

Hah, I omitted the few that I took of my hands when the camera would reverse and I couldn't see the screen! Few generations old Samsung s7, quick and low so the cars look good and so I don't feel so lame taking pictures of everything with a phone. there were some guys with real cameras there taking pictures but I don't know where they ended up, though I did see the Rodders Journal posting some nice ones from the show.

first time for me. I didn't get around too much as I stayed with my dragster and put the kiddies and family in it. it's a touch me and have had over 700 bodies in it. jack potter and his flatty rail are catching up to me on the body count. we had a light off of the race cars twice which included the funny car. lots of noise, lol.
heard of the ardun heads, but never seen. pretty neat. would like to see the flip side of them.

Great pictures Stooge thanks. One thing stands out if one pays attention. That is the absence of guys your age in the pics. There is a lot of geezers like myself though. Leaves me wondering who's going to take the reigns when us guys 60 to 95 decide we rode this horse all we can?

  19. FYI, The Ardun powered Allard is a very significant car. It was owned by Zora Arkus Duntov. Is that name significant enough for you ? It is now owned by Jerry Lettieri of Rocky Hill Connecticut. The car came with the complete history, and newspaper clippings. photos, and history. It is a well documented car that thankfully was not butchered, or altered.

  20. thanks for the photos. great job. Did you ask the guy running the fake flathead heads on the sbc why he didn't at least run fake Arduns? If you're gonna fake it, why only go half way? Top it off with a fake S.C.O.T. supercharger? Just sayin'.....

I think I saw four Ardun motors at the show and I probably missed some. Lots of nostalgia.
Anybody who took pictures all have one thing in common, a picture of Ronnie Roadsters car.

  22. That Allard was owned by Zora Arkus Duntov. RonnieRoadster tuned up the Ardun many years ago...still runs great,

There was a Navajo Tan / White, '55 Chevy 210, 327, dual quads, 4 speed at the show that is almost identical to mine.
Does anyone here know the owner, and how to get in touch with him?
    Thanks.

I was back over to Watkins the other night and got a pic of Zora's spot on the walk of fame.

Nick, is the ARDUN that is now in this Allard the one that the BEAN BANDITS ran on the West Coast? Bob

  30. Killer pics, seems like a killer show, I was home sick monday and watched this hour video of this event on youtube, think the guy that filmed it is a member here? I watch a lot of his (Billy's aka 37spiker) videos, hoping to make this show one day, its on my bucket list, enjoy this video, I did...
