A co-worker brought these in today for me. Said they belonged to his uncle who used to work on small engines. He didn't want them and knew I would like them. The studs below were it says VOLTS and AMPS look to be insulated from the housing. Any one see anything like these before? Would they have been used in the automotive field or maybe electronics? Either way I am keeping them.

The back comes off the one that is only Amperes, and looks like this inside.

They had many uses but mostly for testing battery circuits both automotive
and anywhere batteries were used. The ammeter needs to be "inline" to use.
The voltmeter side is connected across the battery to read voltage.
They were vintage 30's to 40's...I have one of the dual meters.
DO NOT connect the ammeter side directly across a battery.
