Will the early model 302 with a C-4 starter , work on my 90's 302 and AOD? The Hi-torque starter has a problem and I have about three of the old ones laying around. Thanks.

Thanks. I just want to throw a different starter on there to see if that is my problem. Things are acting up intermittently.

The starter drive has been hanging in the flywheel now and then and now its starting to drag at start-up. This engine has about a 168,000 miles on it and I can spin it around by hand with the fan blade. Don't think I really need a hi-torque starter. Going to bolt on one of my standard sbf starters and try it. Dave MC says it will work.
