What a GREAT collection. Thanks, so much, for sharing those.
Someone wondered what this car was.
It looks like a Cisitalia 202 Coupe of 1949.

    An interesting note:
One of these resides at the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art in New York) and is widely recognized as one of the most beautiful automotive forms ever devised.

I don't think I have any of Jack Cristman in the S&S Comet - would you settle for a real early Bob Glidden?

Thanks for posting this great collection!!! After leaving California I moved to Granville, OH, and National Trails was just 9 miles south...I had left racing by then but took daughters to the Spring National for years...Clark Rader lived in Granville, and his El Camino was a common sight...didn't know he died in 2001.

The Bits and Peices was Pat's brothers car not his dad. PK race cars are some of the best cars built!

This car is from Fairborn Ohio.Gabby cut the roof off his coupe so he could run Street Roadster class.I think his son still has the car.

I remember that car from the early and mid 60's, It was a gorgeous coupe and held the record in whatever letter/G the heavy 6/flatty class was. At the time IIRC it was an injected flatty.

I was shocked when I saw this shot not only did he wack the top, gut it appears to be and inliner now.

I only just found this thread. Ran a few times at trails. Mostly at points meets. Thompson, 42, and Quaker were all closer to home. Certainly remember most of those cars, right up to mid 68 when Sam called me up for a 2 year stint.

A buddy of mine owns a Hill Bros. car called the Red Baron. Its completely restored, Red and gold. I wonder if its the same car thats pictured in post 19. He retired it about two years ago.

    Gang,
I need a favor... this H gas Chevy coupe was raced by a good friend, Dave Ehrmann of Hinckley, Ohio (near Medina) at tracks in Ohio and thru the mid-west in the early 60s. He has precious few pix of his car. If any of you recognize the car and have pix, please post them or email them to me so I can send them to him.

Dave also thinks the car might still be in the Medina area, possibly in purple colors now, but... Any help greatly appreciated, Gary

PS the car and Dave's Nats records are also in the Gasser Wars book.
