My name is Ali Ashtiani, I used to go by Slamcouver on the hamb, I was out of the Portland Oregon area and was an active member from 2006 to 2010, I didn't always know what I was doing, so the forum helped out a lot. I ended up making the switch from traditional american hot rods to a Datsun 510 that I've been working on for about 4 years. The reason I am here: I recently bought a real deal louver press. I need ideas on reinforcing, tooling and plan to share my work on the forum.
It is an older machine and has many years of service, however it has noticeable flex and the end goal is to produce customer quality punching. I would also like to convert to a bi directional foot pedal.
