I've just scored an old Mallory mag & power-pak & if i remember correctly one of the Hambers specialises in this old stuff. Just need to find out a little more about it, like how old is it, what spares are available, is it reliable.....you know the kinda thing. The mag # is MINI MAG 310G & the Power-Pak is 26055. thanks in advance for any help.
i dont think those are compatible with the english air/ electrical current system. you should just send that to me
Bruce Lancaster helped me with my Mallory post, but that was dual point distributor, not a magneto. He might have catalogs/info on the magneto's too though
Kev.Afriend of mine locally has a mag in his 348 powered 5 window, I think he is up to speed on them.If he`s going to the Hot Rod drags this weekend(wifes about to drop the baby any day)I`ll put you two together...supposing you`ll be there that is.Failing that, you can E mail him at the Hot Rod Gazette(ask for Ed Gasket)
Thanks guys i might be a little closer to some info now, surprised with the low response though.....maybe the guys that know have not seen the post yet! Reefer, thanks for the lead i'll be looking for him this weekend, does his mrs take the pics for the gazette! & will his car be there so i know who to look for?
Take it to a drag race, a National event of some sort.i.e. Super Chevy or something like that. Usually they have a booth or a trailer set up. I had a buddy drop one off while he watched the races and picked ti up later and they had fixed anything that was wrong with it. It's worth a try.
If he is going it will be in his `67 Mussy(that boy`s got too many toys)as the coupe is sat in the garage with the motor out on the stand(still)!!Regardless, I`ll look you up this weekend at Avon Park, unless I wimp out because of the weather
I'll give them a phone & see if they can shine any light on the subject! thanks. Reefer....if its Mel that takes the pics for the gazette then i have met her......see you at the drags.
