    Hi Guys,

I stopped drag racing in 1974-- but my brother Tom and myself had some brief notoriety in the Jr Stock NHRA Divisions!! We had a great time racing in the late 60's--Tom unfortunately died in a highway accident--and I only raced until 1972 in JR Stock --until NHRA changed the rules and put the older cars into Super Stock. I made the 1973 Winternationals as a Super Stocker but did not have the car ready to perform well and got beat. First time I had ever lost my class at a National Event. Bummer---but while taking the car apart to re-build it for Super Stock---the "74" Oil recession hit and KILLED local racing.
I kept the car---and it will hit the strip again next month!!! I'll get some pics together and post them in the Jr Stock section when I find it---I made some changes but cosmetically--the car looks even better with the same paint scheme it raced in Jr Stock!!
Looking forward to finding some "OLD" friends ---CYA at Fontana maybe??
