Can't really answer that, but my dad had one on a street car that had a stick shift...made uphill take offs a breeze!

  3. It either works or it doesn't. If it works there is no telling when it will stop. Hook it up to 12v and see if it clicks. They make for fun burnouts.....

k sweet i think ill probably get it. ive seen rebuild kits for line lock too so maybe i could? but like i said, the guy seems to be a good guy but was just wondering how long they usually last but then again its been drag raced with for over 30 years and hasnt failed yet so you never know!

  10. that's the cost of a pizza, buy it and they do have rebuild kits for them just incase

they have rebuild kits even for the older ones?

  12. No they don't. If for some reason the "guts" have turned inside the housing when tightening the fittings they will leak. They will also hang up inside causing the brakes to drag. Unless you are doing a period correct, static display resto, buy a new one. It is part of the most important part of your car, don't risk it....

but if it hasnt been tampered with and works then it should be ok? i mean im trying to go period correct the best i can. but then again the car has disc brakes and an adjustable proportioning valve so... haha i dont know.

well maybe i will just buy new

The newer ones can be rebuilt the older ones can not.
