I can almost hear the bongos and flute playing in the background at that neat-o beatnik coffee shop as the young poet reads his latest work. That's, like man, cooo-ooool daddio! Ya dig?

  9. When a PNW person hears "Old Gold" we probably think of a old 39 Chevy sedan that would pull wheelies at the drag strip. The car would put on a show and lay down some fast times in the 1/4 mile. One of the few times my grandfather ran against it with my 33 pickup. It was a hard car to beat at either PIR or Woodburn.

Well crafted poetry, The first 4 1/2 stanzas have a universality about them which could
refer to any vehicle until the roadster theme is intro'd
